Youth Pregnancy

Wow, a serious issue, but I really want to show my thoughts about this issue before it's getting too late. So I know this is out of date, but I haven't posted it in my blog, so it would be better if I reviewed this news to my blog again. I was surfing through thesun.co.uk (one of my favorite source of news) and I found this article (for the full article, click here)

BOY dad Alfie Patten yesterday admitted he does not know how much nappies cost — but said: “I think it’s a lot.”

Baby-faced Alfie, who is 13 but looks more like eight, became a father four days ago when his girlfriend Chantelle Steadman gave birth to 7lb 3oz Maisie Roxanne.

Wohoo, this couldn't be right. I was so curious so I clicked on the link and realized that NO WONDER THIS WAS THE PREGNANCY THAT SHOCKED THE WORLD. The dad was 13, and the mom was 15. Whoaa, what a strange ages! And you should see his face, he was an innocent looking boy and the worst part was, he looked more like an 8-year-old boy. Imagine an 8 year-old-boy was holding a baby. No, it wasn't his newborn sister, it was HIS DAUGHTER! Oh gosh. And the news itself were widely published. Were their parents proud of their kids? Oh my god, if I were them, I would be so ashamed and banned the stories from public. Dang. There were lots of articles about them all over the net. How famous were they? Ckckckckckck.

OK, 13 years old father, and 15 years old mother. Have you guys ever thought about your life? What would your youth days be when you had a baby at a very young age? Imagine this, your friends were preparing for the disco party while you took care of the baby on your own. Your friends were spending their money for fashionable clothes while you spent your money for crib, diapers and hospital fees. Geez, those were nightmares! Beside that, giving birth to a baby is very painful. Hiii. OK, so I pledge this:

I DON'T WANT TO HAVE A BABY YET!

I'm 16 and I don't want to have a baby yet! Having baby takes a lot of responsibilities. Having a baby=Being a mom. And being a mom at 16? Geez, you must have been joking. Have you ever thought about your future? And the presence of a baby of your own will ruin all of your grown-ups' plans. So why having a baby, when you are still young and still want to enjoy the precious moments in life?

PS: Another youth pregnancy article. This one is even more troublesome. They are having twins at the age of 15. For the full story, click here
